RELATIVITY TAPPED FOR BOEING FAST TEAM
Jonesboro,
AR-(July 20, 2001) Relativity, Inc. was chosen to be part of the Boeing
Company's FAST (Flexible Acquisition Sustainment Tool) contract team.
The billion-dollar contract was one of six awarded by Warner Robins
Air Force Base. The announcement marks the end of a two-year reengineering
effort by the Air Force to restructure the way it buys parts, services
and equipment to repair its aircraft and weapons systems.
According to the Air Force, in addition to saving $100 million a year
in taxpayer money, the program will speed up aircraft repairs. On the
same note, Pete Bein, Business Development Manager for Boeing said that
the program will "provide a rapid response to warfighter needs
through a contract vehicle that has a tremendous amount of flexibility."
According to Bein, Boeing chose Relativity, Inc. to be a part of their
FAST team because of "their niche area of expertise, their proven
capability and their prior experience in dealing with the government."
He also said that Relativity's performance history obtained from previous
Air Force contracts and its attentiveness to customer's needs are the
key elements Relativity brings to the Boeing FAST team.
Relativity has achieved the Department of Defense (DoD 5015-2) certification
for a stand-alone records management solution. Relativity Records Manager
(R2M) is an extremely powerful and flexible workflow, document,
and records management solution. "R2M is certainly one of
the most comprehensive records management applications available today,"
Relativity, Inc. president Dillon Watkins said. "It not only addresses
every facet of records management but also incorporates collaboration,
workflow/review and electronic document management."
